Power Tools

Most twenty-first century woodworking shops are built around electric power tools – stationary, benchtop, hand-held, corded and cordless. They come in all sizes and price levels, but as a woodworking author and teacher, I have always tried to keep the tooling in my shop on the same level as my audience – novices, hobbyists, pros with small shops. Consequently the tools I use tend to be what most people would describe as “affordable.” I look for capable, useful, versatile, and precise power tools, but nothing that will break the bank.
